Making sure everyone knows what you sell seems like basic advice.
What prompted us to write about it in this month's The Move Master newsletter is a couple of conversations one of our Directors had with two different people recently. Both moving and needing the services WE provide, but neither of them using us. In fact, they had already moved.
Why? Don't like us? Don't know what we do? Have someone else that does what we do?
It got us thinking about our interactions with our network of colleagues and we realised, at a basic level we didn't tell them what we sell. We neglected to share stories about whom we have helped, and how. We need to make sure everyone knows what we sell.
So think, do you tell everyone? Sure, your close contacts will know and your friends and relatives will, won't they?!
A challenge for November is to tell everyone you come into contact with what you do and what you sell. Does your hairdresser know what you do? Your next door neighbour? Your suppliers? Your contacts on Linkedin? Your customers contacts?
What do we do and sell? We manage commercial moves. We organise company moves for any size company, and even get together all the suppliers they need. Even if they do the move themselves, we can introduce them to our approved suppliers. Either way saves them time, hassle and most importantly, allows them to concentrate on their business.
As a recent customer said "we turned the lights off in the old building on the Friday and turned the lights on in the new building the following Monday and everything worked" We make sure everything works!
